ASHRAE has formally opened its new global headquarters building, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by its board of directors, top building campaign donors, elected officials and local guests.

The association announced Knieps as president during PMI's 67th Annual Meeting of the Membership, Nov. 17.

The state-of-the-art 97,000 square-foot building includes 11 interactive, high-tech laboratories and 24 classrooms to support education in the latest construction technologies, systems and methods.

Travis Bradley has been promoted to business unit director of industrial and engineered systems, and Andrew Schwarze has joined the organization as business unit director of groundwater distributors.

Andrew G. Kireta Jr. brings nearly 30 years of copper industry experience to the role.

The company cites networking and collaboration opportunities as key benefits of the membership.

The manufacturer has added a self-paced 24/7 eLearning option to existing industry-leading training offerings.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, roughly 4.4 million workers quit their jobs in September 2021.

Canadian regulators, consumers, and other professionals with technical background in plumbing and mechanical systems, are requested to provide comments by no later than Jan. 11.
