After 42 states added jobs in February, COVID-19 is taking a swift and severe toll on the industry, prompting association officials to call for additional measures to help workers and firms recover.

The rescheduled event will take place on May 11–12, 2021, at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio.

Sessions that would have taken place during that meeting are now planned to be conducted virtually with a full schedule to be published in April. 

At the present time, the entire company is still fully operational.

”Workers who support the supply chain of building materials from production through application/installation, including cabinetry, fixtures, doors, cement, hardware, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, refrigeration, appliances, paint/coatings, and employees who provide services that enable repair materials and equipment for essential functions” have been added to the list.

The organization is seeking volunteers with technical background in plumbing and mechanical systems and specific knowledge of plumbing pipe lining and rehabilitation systems — such as jurisdictional authorities, testing lab and educational facility representatives, as well as manufacturing experts.

The association has expressed its appreciation to Washington D.C. and the 23 states that thus far have heeded the industry's call for "essential business" status during this health crisis.
