The association has pushed back its 2020 convention to July 21–22 at the Renaissance Hotel in Columbus, Ohio, with golf at the Columbus Country Club. 

The scholarships recognize high-achieving female students working toward a degree relative to the mechanical industry.

After 42 states added jobs in February, COVID-19 is taking a swift and severe toll on the industry, prompting association officials to call for additional measures to help workers and firms recover.

The task force has been established to help deploy ASHRAE's technical resources to address the challenges of the current pandemic and future epidemics as it relates to the effects of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems on disease transmission in healthcare facilities, the workplace, home, public and recreational environments.

The rescheduled event will take place on May 11–12, 2021, at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio.

Sessions that would have taken place during that meeting are now planned to be conducted virtually with a full schedule to be published in April. 

”Workers who support the supply chain of building materials from production through application/installation, including cabinetry, fixtures, doors, cement, hardware, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, refrigeration, appliances, paint/coatings, and employees who provide services that enable repair materials and equipment for essential functions” have been added to the list.

Bob “Hot Rod” Rohr, well-known for his Caleffi North America seminars and regular columns in PHC News, was presented with the 2020-2022 Carlson-Holohan Industry Award of Excellence last February at a Radiant Professionals Alliance event held in conjunction with the AHR Expo in Orlando.

The association has canceled the Emerging Leaders Division's EMERGE Spring Forum, originally scheduled to take place May 3-6 in Nashville, Tennessee, with the highest concern for the safety and well-being of its members in mind.
