Tap Score Gets Ahead of Lead

August 21, 2018
Tap-Score-Gets-Ahead-of-Lead

Everyone is exposed to toxins, everyday. More-than-ever, millions of households want to understand what these toxins are and what they can do about them. Chronic contaminants like Lead, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Manganese, Mercury, Radon, E. coli and other pathogens are commonly found in drinking water, dust and soil.

“For a long time, access to this kind of laboratory testing has been very complicated, expensive and time consuming,” said SimpleWater founder John Pujol. “We aim to change that. My company has a new approach that relies on bringing plumber expertise and state-of-the-art laboratories together, nationwide, to measure the concentrations the most common contaminants found in millions of American homes.”

To kick off the Tap Score Pro initiative, SimpleWater is seeking 1,000 of the best plumbers across the country with the expertise, trust and cooperation required to sample their customers’ homes for toxic water contaminants.

SimpleWater pays each plumber $55 for every sample collected. Customers get $300 worth of home water testing, health risk assessment, and water treatment technology recommendations for a wholesale rate available through their plumber.

SimpleWater’s Tap Score Pro identifies hazards and helps people make choices about how best to treat their water, if they find something.

The company is starting with water testing and will soon expand the program into air, soil and dust testing.
