The Code Council's 2019 campaign theme is “Leaving no one behind,” a goal that the association advances through its commitment to developing modern codes and standards that make water systems more efficient and sustainable.
The support is part of a larger effort of LIXIL Americas to steer the conversation towards the importance of plumbers, and how their contributions ensure that communities have safe drinking water, a clean shower and proper sanitation.
Performance requirements in ASSE 1055 include compliance testing for stability; endurance; backpressure and backsiphonage; deterioration at temperature and pressure extremes; and detailed requirements for markings; and installation, operation, and maintenance instructions.
Many factors contribute to the design and specification of a piping system, from size to pressure to layout. It’s just as critical to think about what’s inside the pipes—the quality of the water and the disinfection treatments that will be used on that water over the life of the system.
