Design and Construction Week, one of the largest construction and design industry professionals’ events, will take place in Orlando, Florida, from February 17-19. For the 13th year, the event will co-locate the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) and the NKBA Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), attracting thousands of industry professionals from around the world.

According to the NKBA, the two shows will host more than 2,350 exhibiting brands spanning over 1.2 million net square feet of exhibit space, with more than 115,000 attendees expected.

During the KBIS show industry colleagues can visit more than 650 exhibitors representing a broad cross-section of the industry: appliances, cabinetry, plumbing, fixtures, hardware, surfaces, and smart-home technologies. KBIS will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, in both the North/South Halls and the West Hall, and utilize nearly 500,000 square feet of exhibit space, making KBIS one of the largest platforms for product innovation and professional growth in North America.

But the true meaning of KBIS lives in the people — the manufacturers who dedicate themselves to better solutions, the designers who elevate daily living through thoughtful spaces, the builders and remodelers who bring ideas to life, and the wholesale distributors who reimagine their showrooms to incorporate the latest in looks and functionality to offer to its customers. And as its website states, “Whether you’re searching for inspiration, networking opportunities, or cutting-edge solutions, KBIS is the must-attend event for all design industry professionals.”

The IBS Show will feature more than 1,700 exhibitors and brands this year and anticipates bringing in more than 70,000 industry pros from around the world. “This once-a-year event is where the residential construction industry comes to level up with groundbreaking product launches, can’t-miss live demos and powerhouse sessions led by the pros shaping what’s new and what’s next in the industry,” according to the IBS website. “From workshops and panel discussions to real-world solutions, IBS is where you can learn how to turn ideas into action.”

The West Hall will feature building materials and global products, while the North and South Halls will feature business management and professional services; interior finishes and home living; tools, systems, equipment, safety — and so much more.

Educational opportunities

A cornerstone of KBIS is the Voices From the Industry (VFTI) education program, and the 2026 curriculum is focused on the needs of today’s professionals. With seven learning tracks focused on building blocks of business, there is something for everyone’s toolbox:

• Building & Remodeling

• Leadership & Management

• Design

• Kitchen & Bath Trends

• Marketing

• Technology (new)

• Sustainability (new)

The addition of Technology and Sustainability tracks reflects priorities that are at the top of everyone’s list and includes many sessions on artificial intelligence. Each session is CEU-accredited (0.1 CEU for one-hour sessions; 0.15 CEU for 90-minute workshops). In addition, a select number of presentations will be available on demand through December 31, 2026, providing participants with additional opportunities to learn and earn up to 10 hours of CEUs.

The program also includes a daily “Wine & Design” afternoon event where peers can meet in a casual setting, and panel discussions on serious issues around body, mind and soul, such as “From Ruin to Renewal: The Role of Design After Disaster,” “Inclusive by Design: Creating Spaces for Diverse Needs and Life Stages,” and “The Wellness Blueprint: Spaces that Nurture Body, Mind, and Spirit.”
