Regional Water Authority Acquires Connecticut Plumbing Company

The Regional Water Authority (RWA) has announced that it has acquired Roach Plumbing & Heating, a Marlborough, Connecticut-based company that specializes in plumbing, water heating, well services, water pumps and water treatment services to residential and business customers in the state. Terms of asset purchase were not disclosed.

The acquisition builds on the RWA’s commercial strengths in water-related services, adding to its popular PipeSafe water, sewer, septic line and interior plumbing protection programs, with Roach’s core plumbing, well water maintenance, filtration and treatment services. This acquisition will operate under RWA Well Services, LLC, a subsidiary of RWA Commercial Enterprises LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the RWA.

"The acquisition of Roach Plumbing & Heating supports the RWA’s commercial enterprise growth in water management and environmental services, enabling us to mitigate prospective rate increases for our customers and facilitating our nonprofit public corporation to expand our differentiated service capabilities to more residents in Connecticut," said Larry Bingaman, RWA president and CEO. "This acquisition allows us to offer an enhanced suite of water management, maintenance and repair solutions to a broader set of customers by adding to our portfolio of commercial offerings. With its excellent market knowledge, established customer relationships and skilled and mission-driven employees, Roach is an ideal fit for the RWA. Sean Roach and his team have built an exceptional, locally-admired business that takes great pride in addressing customers' water and environmental needs with the highest level of service and care."

Sean Roach, the majority owner of Roach Plumbing & Heating, has served as its leader since 1986. He’s grown the business to include a team of skilled plumbing professionals dedicated to serving residential and business customers in Connecticut. Roach will continue to manage the business after the close.

"We are very excited to be joining operations with the RWA, an industry pioneer and water and environmental services leader, trusted since 1849," said Sean Roach, majority owner and operator of Roach Plumbing. "Partnering with the RWA will enable us to deliver an even better, broader experience to our customers, while continuing to build on both companies’ strengths as leaders in providing service-oriented water management, maintenance and repair solutions.”
