This year, ASPE is pleased to present the Industry Award to both McWane Inc. and QuantumFlo for providing outstanding service to the advancement of plumbing engineering technology.

The partnership provides students with studio, research, and design experience across two courses.

In his new position, Timms will lead plumbing, industrial and fire protection design for a wide variety of projects, in addition to managing accounts and processes within the Engineering Department.

Just under a year ago, Plumbing Engineer magazine was among 45-plus professionals from the plumbing, heating, cooling and piping (PHCP) community that attended manufacturer Watts Water’s annual Healthcare Symposium.

This spring, McGuire Manufacturing launched its new integral check valve, the ICV Defender. The valve was designed to address the growing concern and challenges related to cross connection and reverse flow at the fixture, which can contaminate potable water supplies and systems.

Gary and I have covered a lot of ground in our last six articles in this magazine. We focused on transforming high performing building hot water systems fired with hybrid solar thermal and heat pumps.

Laura Loziuk is one of the Women In PHCP who PHCPPros will be spotlighting in ongoing support of AB&I’s celebration of women in the industry. 

In celebration of women in engineering, manufacturing, and the skilled trades, the company has developed an iron woman character named “Rose."
