Bluon has announced the launch of Asset Manager, a new feature that enriches historical equipment records to help contractors and property managers uncover new value and revenue opportunities.
Unlike AI generated equipment specifications and intel, which is limited and subject to very high error rates, Bluon’s proprietary dataset provides deep equipment intelligence that is 99.9% accurate covering more than 35 million unique model numbers across 270 OEMs dating back to 1980. Bluon can enrich the vast majority of historical equipment records with valuable intelligence, including full model specifications, equipment age, warranty status, original manuals + documentation, common problems, complete bill of materials, part specifications and replacement part options.
With deep and accurate intelligence on their customer equipment records, contractors can now create value for their businesses through lead generation, increased revenue opportunities, more profitable service contracts, smarter dispatching and improved first-time fix rates. Bluon’s Asset Manager gives commercial and residential HVAC contractors an extraordinarily effective way to grow their business organically by mining their enriched customer equipment records.
Many contractors have thousands, or even millions, of model numbers and/or nameplate photos stored in their customer records with little to no additional information on each piece of equipment. Historically, these model numbers or unprocessed nameplate images provide virtually no value to their business, other than identification. Once enriched by Bluon’s Asset Manager feature, contractors can efficiently plan inventory for maintenance + service agreements, identify customers with R-22 equipment that can be retrofitted, flag lower-SEER systems to target for an upgrade providing a favorable ROI or target customers and regions based on equipment types with certain specifications.
Asset Manager adds critical context to each equipment record using Bluon’s enormous and QC’d brand-agnostic dataset. Contractors and portfolio managers can import historical equipment lists or provide Bluon access to their FSM account for auto enrichment, while technicians can add equipment to Asset Manager with each new job by capturing the new equipment’s nameplate with a simple scan executed through the Bluon app, Bluon plugin or their native FSM platform.
“Every contractor who keeps historical records of their customers’ HVAC equipment is sitting on a literal gold mine of opportunity to grow their business,” said Peter Capuciati, CEO of Bluon. “Our new Asset Manager provides a near-instant way to unlock that value. You give us your list of model numbers and we return actionable intelligence on each piece of equipment that can help power your business for years to come.”
Bluon enriches each unit against its proprietary database and provides system-specific information including equipment type, tonnage, refrigerant type and charge, efficiency rating, number of circuits, filter and belt sizes, compressor oil type, manufacture date, estimated warranty status, original manuals and wiring diagrams, original parts lists, cross-reference part options and common problems.
Asset Manager is available now to Bluon for Business customers. For more information, visit bluon.com/asset-manager.
