SupplyHouse.com offered a 5 percent off site-wide sale for Trade Tuesday, its version of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Taking place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, customers were eligible for discounts on products from fittings to boilers and everything in between. Customers who are members of the SupplyHouse.com TradeMaster program, which includes approved tradespeople and professionals, received 10 percent off site-wide. In addition, any Uponor or Grundfos products purchased before 8 a.m. EST received an extra 1 percent off as a part of an "early bird" special.
Trade Tuesday began in 2010, aiming to provide a day dedicated to industry professionals in the midst of the busy holiday season.
"Trade Tuesday is special for the entire company, and this year was no exception," said Melissa Mayer, customer service captain. "All departments pitch in to help out in areas where we anticipate high volume and it really brings everyone together. We have such an incredible team that really puts the needs of our customers first."
Trade Tuesday is historically the company's busiest day of the year. Orders were up 43 percent from last year's Trade Tuesday sale. Members of various departments throughout the company volunteer to help employees both in the fulfillment and customer service departments to ensure everything runs smoothly.
"There is a lot of planning that happens leading up to Trade Tuesday. It's an 'all-hands-on-deck' scenario," said Tim Sheehan, warehouse captain. "This year, we wanted to add a couple of fun things since everyone works so hard, so we had a DJ come in, set up a photo booth with some props, and had raffles throughout the day. It's an amazing feeling when the day ends and we see what we have accomplished."
SupplyHouse.com has a total of 300 employees across four locations in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, and Nevada.
