MCAA Releases Aerial Lift Safety Video

The Mechanical Contractors Association of America recently released a new safety training video, Aerial Lift Safety – Safe Practices for Scissors and Boom Lift Work. The new video replaces the Aerial and Scissors Lifts Safety Training Video that was previously available from MCAA.

  • The video will help your workers understand:
  • The significance of aerial lift load capacities.
  • How to properly inspect and function test lifts before use.
  • What to do when there is a problem with a lift.
  • The appropriate fall prevention and protection requirements for the two different types of lifts.
  • Safe operating procedures.

The trade group also has other related print materials to highlight key training points, document worker training and confirm that workers understand the training concepts.

The MCAA also offers direct links on its MCAA & MSCA Safety Resources page to a full range of resources to help protect workers from injury comply with applicable safety regulations.
