To generate more leads directly to its preferred contractors, Unico, Inc., is rolling out more than 600 personalized HVAC contractor websites this week. The sites are free to Unico Preferred Contractors and are co-branded with Unico and contractor messaging, with a call to action to contact the UPC. Unico leads who are ready to buy can use a contractor finder tool on UnicoSystem.com to locate their local UPCs and click through to their sites.
Unico, manufacturer of small-duct HVAC systems, has also added incentives to help UPCs close the sale, including a 15-year product warranty. The company also provides free training and contractor rebates for every system sold.
“The UPC program is ultimately about bringing motivated customer leads and high-level support to our valuable contractor partners,” said Scott Intagliata, marketing director at Unico. “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for contractors to turn our leads into sales, and to turn sales into successful installations that reflect well on both Unico and the UPC.”
Intagliata said Unico generated more than 75,000 homeowner visitors in 2017 who searched for a local Unico System installer on Unico’s website. He expects to increase that number significantly in 2018 through strong advertising and social media support.
“This year, we expect over 225,000 website visitors to search for a UPC, meaning highly qualified leads can view information about a local contractor’s specific experience with Unico System and iSeries installations,” Intagliata said.
Unico has approximately 650 UPCs across the U.S. and Canada, and the company wants to boost that to 1,000 or more in 2018. “We’re on a strong path to growth, and we’re looking to add more quality contractors who can be turned into UPCs, so they can receive our full suite of benefits,” he said. “It’s all part of our effort to provide extremely motivated leads by making a seamless connection between contractors and customers.”
Only UPCs can offer their customers Unico’s 15-year warranty. UPCs also receive a $100 rebate from Unico for each installed system, and a free membership in the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, which includes being listed on the NARI site as a reputable partner with remodeling firms.
Unico’s free training program now includes more training dates every month and a new facility that allows additional hands-on experiences. Contractors can earn “badges” for completing training modules; these badges are displayed on each UPC website. Badges can also be earned for length of experience, ability to offer Unico-backed financing, certification to install the Unico iSeries, and several other categories.
Unico recently launched a new website that leads potential buyers through the decision-making process and touts Unico’s trained, experienced contractors and the extended warranty they’ll get when they contract with a UPC for installation. The new site prominently features Unico’s preferred installing contractors, with a contractor locator by zip code. A live chat option gives consumers an easy way to contact Unico directly.
