John Anthony Stanzi

John Anthony Stanzi, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on July 12, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Stanzi, a contributor to the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Chicago chapter, was born on April 29, 1947 in Painesville, Ohio to John (Jay) and Lena Stanzi. He is survived by his wife, Laurie and three children: John M. Stanzi (Natalie and children Jensen and Luke), Anthony J. Stanzi (Shana McDaniel), and Nicole Nielsen (Dana and children Hunter, Gianna and Raegan).

Stanzi served his country honorably as a Marine from September 1967 to April 1970. As a veteran of the Vietnam War, he earned the Bronze Star Award for his dedication and bravery.

His career relocated his family to Texas for 4 years. Moving to Chicago he founded Stanzi & Associates, which became Stanzi-Simms Marketing. He took pride in contributing to the greater Chicago plumbing industry. He concluded his successful career with Metropolitan Industries. His success in business can be directly attributed to his work ethic, loyalty and customer focus.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Wounded Warriors, or by phone at 847-515-8772; or online condolences can be directed to www.defiorejorgensen.com.

Please keep John’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
