Albert Aaron “Al” Siegel Jr., of Menlo, Georgia, founding member of tankless electric water heater manufacturer Eemax Inc., passed away at the age of 81 on Aug. 5, 2025.
Mr. Siegel was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and graduated from the University of Mississippi, where he served as Air Force ROTC commander. Following college, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged with the rank of captain.
Al began his professional career at American National Bank as a marketing and advertising executive before moving into the water heater industry. As national sales manager at Eemax, he assembled an industry-leading representative sales force and developed sales strategies that built the foundation for the company’s dynamic growth. His vision to bring innovative products to the emerging U.S. tankless electric water heating market has had a lasting impact on the plumbing industry. Al’s keen sales acumen and dedication were key to his success at Eemax, where he remained an integral part of the company until his retirement in 2013.
In retirement, Al enjoyed traveling, attending Ole Miss football games, and spending time with his friends and family as a gentleman farmer at his home in North Georgia. He was admired for his sharp sense of humor, engaging storytelling, attention to detail, wisdom, and generosity. He positively supported and mentored all those who had the good fortune to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Aaron Siegel Sr. and Ruby Griffin Siegel.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Sandra Bassett Siegel, and his children, Albert Aaron Siegel III (Jeannie) and Rachel Ann Siegel-Berger (Steve).
