Hello and Goodbye

This month marks the beginning of something new in the plumbing industry, as well as the end of an era!

2017 July Hello and Goodbye

July has been an interesting month. The summer is in full swing, and changes are on the horizon.

Earlier this month, TMB Publishing unveiled its new website, PHCPpros. A year in the making, this new site is your one-stop shop for all things related to plumbing, heating, cooling and piping. This vibrant ecosystem merges the three brands — Plumbing Engineer, PHC News and The Wholesaler — to bring you one comprehensive ecosystem of industry news, how-to’s, featured articles and insights from industry thought leaders.

I hope you take a minute to look around the new site, familiarize yourself with all the features and opportunities, and bookmark it on your favorite device.

Another big announcement this month, although we’ve known about it for some time, is the passing of the baton at Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI). Barbara C. Higgens officially retired from her 19-year stint at CEO/executive director of PMI and I was honored enough to talk to her about her journey. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

This month’s thoughts are brief; the website and Higgens’ story are pretty big news on their own.

As always, my goal is to talk to leading women in the industry each month and share their stories, thoughts and insights. If you know a woman, or are a woman who should be featured, let me know.
