Waterbury, Connecticut-based Torrco, a fourth-generation wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC and piping supplies celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017, has purchased the assets of Port Chester, New York-based Pramar Plumbing Supply.
Pramar will operate as a branch of Torrco, which now has 16 locations in Connecticut, western Massachusetts and New York, including six retail Design Center showrooms.
“The Pramar location is a great addition to the Torrco branch network geographically. Their strength in the plumbing and heating market mirrors that of Torrco so it’s a great fit,” said Chris Fasano, president of Torrco.
The new Torrco Port Chester branch will be managed by Ron LaRoche, a 14-year Torrco veteran from its Stamford, Connecticut, branch.
Pramar, which primarily distributes plumbing supplies, has been in business for more than three decades and has been operated by the executive management team of Dominic Marazio, Steve Prakin, Carol Prakin and Edwin Hammond.
