Contractor Commerce, the ecommerce and online buying platform built for home service contractors, will share why putting pricing online is becoming more important as artificial intelligence changes how homeowners research home services during Service World Expo in Las Vegas.

Enterprise Account Executive Scott Ossim will present "Prepare for AI-Powered Buying" from 4-5 p.m. Nov. 11 as part of the conference's Scaling Systems track.

"People already do a lot of homework before choosing a contractor," Ossim said. "AI is giving them one more way to get answers. If your pricing isn't online, you're making it harder for both homeowners and AI tools to understand what you offer."

Ossim will talk about why price needs to be part of the information contractors put online. Traditionally, many companies have waited until later in the sales process to discuss cost. That may not work as well when homeowners expect to find more answers while they're doing their own research.

There's another issue with AI. The less information a contractor puts online, the less an AI tool has to work with when someone asks it for help finding a provider.

"This isn't just about making a website more convenient," Ossim said. "Contractors that continue to hide pricing risk falling behind companies that make it easier for customers to understand their options."

Service World Expo will be held Nov. 9-11 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. The event brings together home service contractors from across the country for education and networking. For more information about Service World Expo or to register, visit www.serviceworldexpo.com.
