EMA to Conduct Virtual O&M Training, June 7-8

The Energy Management Association (EMA) has announced that its virtual course aimed at providing commercial and public building personnel with the tools they need to increase energy efficiency, reduce costs and optimize systems is returning. EMA’s 8-hour “Virtual O&M Training for Engineers & Facility Managers” is scheduled for June 7-8, 2022 and is offered in a series of four modules. Registration can be found on this page.

Topics Include the following:

  • Establishing System Performance / Need for Building Tune-Up
  • Monitoring Building Performance & Ensuring Savings Through Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx)
  • Building / Site Assessments – Techniques and Tools
  • Evaluating, Prioritizing & Implementing ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures)

This course has been preapproved for incentives provided by utilities that are available to contractors and building personnel operating in Maryland, who will be eligible to receive a cash rebate of 80% of enrollment costs.
