The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), the authority on all things residential kitchen and bath, is offering more than 60 continuing education classes as part of its annual Voices From the Industry (VFTI) conference, which will be hosted virtually during the upcoming Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), Feb. 9-12. This year's VFTI Conference is sponsored by Kohler Co.

Each year, KBIS is where professionals across all segments of kitchen and bath design and remodeling are inspired and educated on the latest industry products, trends, innovations and technologies.

"We're looking forward to providing a robust slate of timely, relevant and informative programming at KBIS Virtual," said Suzie Williford, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for NKBA. "Our new digital format gives us the flexibility to offer courses that can live online, and remain viewable on-demand to all who purchase the VFTI pass through March 31.

The Conference includes 10 new speakers. New presentations cover subjects including growing your brand with video, product trends, lighting design, marketing at higher levels, smart technology, website design and innovation in times of crisis. Other sessions include Color and Design Trends for 2021; Designing a Healthy Home (and we Don't Mean Emotionally); Kosher Kitchens: Is the Work Triangle Dead?; Labor Force Shortages & Skills Gap — What Can Your Business Do?; Selling to Design by NOT Designing to Sell: Role Playing; Specifying Glass Tile With Confidence, and Your Website is Not Your Marketing Plan. The course schedule also includes several favorite topics, such as brand-building, thinking big about small spaces and the latest kitchen and bath design trends. All sessions are classified in one of six categories: Grow Your Business; Design; Kitchen & Bath Specialty Training; Customer Service; Management, and new this year, Building & Remodeling.

Each one-hour session is eligible for 0.1 CEU from the NKBA, 1.00 NKHB CEU Hour and 1.0 NARI CEU. For all certified NKBA members, VFTI provides an opportunity to fulfill a large part of the 20 hours of education per cycle required to maintain certification status. This current two-year cycle ends June 30, 2022.

NKBA Professional Development Workshops

Other options for continued learning during KBIS as part of VFTI are the NKBA Professional Development Workshops, which are back by popular demand. Held every day during KBIS (1:30 to 3 p.m. ET), these hour-and-a-half courses provide in-depth discussions on the following topics:

Monday, Feb. 8

  • Your Website: The Front Door to Your Business

Tuesday, Feb. 9

  •  Marketing at a Much Higher Level
  •  Your Website is Not Your Plan
