To highlight the myriad ways the plumbing industry creates positive change in a water-stressed world, IAPMO was thrilled to further its March4Water initiatives around World Water Day by participating in and hosting numerous events on Capitol Hill this week.

IAPMO and the Construction Practices for Potable Water Task Group are pleased to announce the release of the publication titled the Manual of Recommended Construction Practices for Potable Water.

This allows for the specification of the ITW Red Head A7+ Adhesive Anchoring System by architects, contractors, specifiers, and designers, and approval of installations by code officials.

The first working group meetings will be held virtually in April.

The alternative approach will be available for statewide use on a voluntary basis starting July 1, 2024.

Building on the momentum started last year, The IAPMO Group again celebrates March4Water, a month-long observance of the myriad ways communities derive better health and resilience through plumbing.

ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI 12080, Professional Qualifications Standard for Legionella Water Safety and Management Personnel, has been designated as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is now available for purchase.

The 45-day public review period started on Feb. 23 with a comment period deadline of April 8. 

IAPMO India proudly announced the launch of the much-anticipated 2024 Uniform Mechanical Code – India (2024 UMC-I) at ACREX 2024, the premier exhibition for air conditioning, refrigeration, and building services in India.

Seattle-King County, in conjunction with local ASPE and IAPMO chapters, will offer an in-person training on using IAPMO’s Uniform Plumbing Code  Appendix M — the Water Demand Calculator — on Feb. 17 for inspectors, installers and design professionals.
