Emerson announced the appointment of Chad Severson as president of its InSinkErator business, headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin.
Severson had been president of Emerson Tool Co. Severson succeeds Tim Ferry, who will serve in a new role as Emerson’s group vice president for Tools and Home Products.
Severson began his career at Emerson in 1992 as a manager in market analysis for Copeland Corp., where he eventually became vice president of marketing. Severson left Emerson for three years to serve in various sales and marketing positions with Kohler Co., and returned to Emerson in 2005 as Knaack’s vice president of marketing and product development.
In 2006 he was appointed president of Knaack and named president of Emerson Tool Co. in 2011.
Severson received his BS in management from the US Air Force Academy, and he holds an MBA from the Ohio State University.
