Call for entries: Hangrohe+Axor competition for design excellence

August 5, 2015
No Comments

New York – Hansgrohe U.S.A is proud to announce its nationwide call for entries for the second annual Hansgrohe+Axor Das Design Competition.

The competition is open to projects that were built in the U.S. within the past three years (between January 1, 2012 and August 14, 2015). There are three categories of entry: Residential, Hospitality, and Commercial.

Entry is free and can be done completely online at www.dasdesigncomp.com. Entrants will be required to include brief descriptions about their project including their selection and integration of Hansgrohe/Axor products, and attach at least three images of their project.

A jury of leading A&D industry professionals including architects, designers leading media, and representatives from Hansgrohe or Axor will select the winners. Entries will be evaluated against five criteria: the quality of the overall design of the project and the integration of Hansgrohe or Axor products into the scheme; the degree that Hansgrohe/Axor products enhance the design and functionality of the space; the consideration of the environment and sustainability in the design; the quality of installation; and the extent of use of Hansgrohe/Axor products.

The first place winner in each category will receive a $2,000 certificate for Hansgrohe or Axor products and a round trip to New York City—to attend an awards ceremony and VIP event with the Head of the Axor brand, Philippe Grohe, and designer Antonio Citterio in October. This includes ground transportation to and from a NYC area airport, a two-night hotel accommodation and a VIP dinner. The first place winners and three honorable mentions in each category will be awarded a plaque recognizing their achievements.

Entry deadline: Friday, August 14, 2015.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in New York in October 2015, and the winning entries will be featured in the online competition gallery and on Hansgrohe USA’s social media channels.
