Raychem Trace Heating Design Becomes Easier with Tracecalc Pro For Buildings

January 9, 2017
No Comments

Pentair has launched a new online Trace heating system design tool for its range of Raychem pipe freeze protection and flow maintenance systems. The TraceCalc Pro For Buildings platform allows engineers, specialist installers, and designers in the North American market to design a multi-segment and multi-circuit heat tracing system. This design tool is compatible with desktops, tablets and smartphones.

Requiring menu driven data input and with no software to download, the platform is fast and features an easy-to-use interface, providing useful product and electrical design information. This, coupled with a full design project overview, optimizes system design while verifying system performance. The three-step procedure enables selection of the heat-tracing application, entry of design data, and generation of various system reports including a Bill of Materials, circuit-by-circuit detail and datasheet library. Users can also request a quotation and save projects for future use and future iteration – all in one private workspace.

“We have worked closely with our customers to identify key needs for heat-tracing design tools that are responsive and enable a full project overview,” comments Brian Stoops, Director Global Product Management. “Boosting our winter safety offering to the North American markets, our new TraceCalc Pro For Buildings allows users to easily create multi-circuit and multi-segment designs with the solutions we develop – giving our customers the confidence that they have selected the optimal solution for their project.”
