The Collins Companies, an industrial piping product distributor and service provider for valves and compressors, has earned national Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certification from the Center for Women and Enterprise, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
The certification follows a thorough review process that validates women-owned businesses and recognizes their leadership and operational foundation.
“We’re thrilled to finally receive our WBENC certification after months of review,” said Kala McDonald, CEO of The Collins Companies. “As a family business started by my father, this achievement reflects the hard work and support of so many people who helped build The Collins Companies into what it is today.”
McDonald said the certification opens new opportunities through supplier diversity programs and expressed hope that the company’s story will inspire more women to grow and lead in the industrial sector.
The certification also provides access to a nationwide network of women business leaders, educational resources and strategic opportunities that support long-term success for women-owned businesses.
