GreenHouse Digital + PR, a full-service marketing and public relations agency specializing in the construction, industrial, HVAC, plumbing, and MRO markets, has earned two Golden Trumpet Awards from the Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC) for its work with longtime manufacturer clients GF Building Flow Solutions Americas and Oatey Co.
The awards were presented during the 68th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards on Oct. 6 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. For more than six decades, the Golden Trumpet Awards have recognized exceptional achievement in public relations, marketing, communications, and related fields across the Midwest.
GreenHouse received a Gold Trumpet Award in the Media Relations category for 25 Years of Trust and Media Results, recognizing the agency’s long-standing media relations partnership with GF Building Flow Solutions Americas.
GreenHouse has supported Uponor, now part of GF Building Flow Solutions, and its predecessor brand Wirsbo for 25 years, developing a media relations program that connects the company and its subject-matter experts with audiences across the plumbing, HVAC, and building industries.
In 2025, the program generated 501 publicity hits and 202 million measurable impressions across trade and consumer media. Trade media efforts included 92 feature placements, 30 bylined feature placements, and 10 cover stories or mentions. The program combined proactive media pitching, executive and technical thought leadership, product and company news, case studies, trade show media relations, and ongoing editorial relationship building.
GreenHouse also earned a Silver Trumpet Award in the Content Marketing category for Trade Authority Through Expert-Led Content, recognizing its thought-leadership program for Oatey Co.
The program transforms the expertise of Oatey’s technical applications managers, product managers, engineers, and other subject-matter experts into educational content designed for plumbing and building professionals. GreenHouse interviews Oatey experts and develops bylined features and guest articles around real-world topics such as product selection, installation best practices, maintenance, drainage, and job-site troubleshooting.
In 2025, GreenHouse exceeded Oatey’s goal of 50 bylined feature placements, earning 70. The program generated an estimated 129,000 article views and reached a combined publication audience of 9.73 million. It also generated 120 backlinks from earned coverage and more than 2,000 referral visits to Oatey’s website.
“Both of these awards reflect the kind of work GreenHouse has built its agency around: developing a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses and industries, and then turning that knowledge into communications programs that deliver meaningful results,” said John O’Reilly, owner and principal of GreenHouse Digital + PR.
“Our relationships with GF Building Flow Solutions and Oatey have been built over many years, and that longevity has allowed our team to become a true extension of each client’s marketing department. We’re proud to share this recognition with our clients and their subject-matter experts who trust us to tell their stories.”
The two Golden Trumpet Awards recognize different facets of GreenHouse’s integrated approach to building-industry communications. The GF Building Flow Solutions program demonstrates the value of sustained media relationships and proactive earned media, while the Oatey program shows how technical expertise can be developed into useful, credible content that supports thought leadership, search visibility, and business priorities.
The 68th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards recognize Gold and Silver winners across public relations, marketing, and communications categories. The 2026 ceremony brings together communications professionals, organizations, and campaigns from across the Midwest.
