Climatic Heating & Cooling has been serving Leesburg and Northern Virginia for well over 30 years. As specialists in the design, installation and service of residential HVAC systems, Climatic has built a reputation for experience, honesty and reliability. Sonny Swann and his team are known for their expert recommendations and high-quality installations. So they’re always searching for the best HVAC solutions for their customers.
Simplifying dual fuel installations
Many of Climatic’s customers are switching to dual fuel. That’s a good thing for energy efficiency. But these sorts of installations can be fraught with hassles, especially the wiring.
Too often an installer on site discovers issues that could halt progress on the installation. Sometimes there aren’t enough wires. Other times, some of the wires don’t work. Along the way, installs were taking longer, labor costs were increasing, and customers were feeling less comfortable with the process.
Climatic needed to have a problem solver they could count on – a simple solution that could remove any inconveniences or delays and prevent customer concerns.
Solution
Climatic worked with their partners at Sensi and found the solution they were looking for: Sensi smart thermostats and the new Sensi Equipment Interface Module (EIM).
“The Sensi Touch 2 has been reliable for us,” says Sonny Swann, Climatic’s president. “I’m a picky engineer. Personally, I went through everything. And I’m actually really happy with the Sensi.”
And like Sensi smart thermostats, the EIM is all about ease. It simplifies system upgrades without pulling new wires through the wall by utilizing Sensi Connect Technology – a powerful sub-GHz frequency allowing Sensi products to communicate wirelessly over greater distances with less interference. Once connected, the EIM can control ventilators, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and room sensors all through the Touch 2 smart thermostat or the homeowner’s Sensi app.
“I want to do five installs a day,” Swann says, “I want them each to start and finish smoothly and on time. The EIM helps me do that.”
Results
Sensi smart thermostats and the Sensi EIM help make problems go away so that jobs can go more smoothly. Simply hook up the EIM and you’re ready to go.
“The EIM is definitely helping us,” Swann says. “I’m really happy with the product. It’s simpler, it’s easier to manage. The EIM gives us a kind of a stop gap if something comes up. And they’re affordable to keep on every truck. We’re stocking them everywhere as a problem solver we know will work.”
Adds Kyle Glascock, training manager at Climatic: “The Sensi EIM is the best thing since sliced bread. It has quickly become a staple for our installers.”
Beyond simplifying installations, the Sensi EIM has allowed Climatic to gain incremental revenue by offering more applications for IAQ products such as humidifiers.
Sensi Equipment Interface Module (Indoor + Outdoor)
