When water is not regularly dispensed down a floor drain, it can lose its seal and sewer gases can enter the facility. How can this be prevented? With Smith Fluid Controls trap primers and accessories.

Smith Fluid Controls offers two types of trap primers. The Trap-Defender pressure drop trap primer is automatically activated when a valve or faucet is opened and the system experiences a drop in pressure. Water is released into the floor drain’s P-trap to maintain a seal. Electronic Trap Primers deliver a timed discharge of water to the floor drain P-traps to ensure the traps maintain a water seal. They can prime a single trap or can be specified to prime up to 32 traps. Also included in this product line is a whole host of accessories for the optimal operation of the trap primers.
