The Winsupply Family of Companies has welcomed a new local company with the opening of Winsupply of Garden City.
President Tony Otero and his employees — Robert Dinkel, Caden Luna, Jairdan Shultz, and Alex Solorzano— serve the plumbing, industrial, and waterworks industries in the Garden City, Kansas area.
Winsupply of Garden City, located at 2509 N. Taylor Ave., includes an 11,000-square-foot facility with 2.5 acres of yard space. The building previously housed a semi-truck sales and repair shop, so it’s equipped with nine large overhead doors for loading and unloading shipments. The building received a complete makeover, not just an exterior repainting, but a renovation of the counter and office spaces.
Otero began his journey at Winsupply in May of 2025 under the mentorship of Mathew Darby, president, KC Windustrial, and Andrew Rhea, president, Wichita Winsupply. After a few months, Otero applied their advice and teaching points to create his own local company operation, starting up Winsupply of Garden City in June.
“For the first several months, we worked out of my pole barn, receiving all distribution center shipments to my yard while renovation of our building was underway,” Otero said.
Otero has nearly three decades of experience in the plumbing and mechanical industries. He’s risen through the ranks at local wholesalers and contractors, from driver and warehouse to master plumber and outside sales. During that time, Otero developed a business networking relationship with Winsupply Area Leader Andy Wademan, who introduced him to the Winsupply business model.
After several discussions with Wademan, Otero knew Winsupply was the right fit for him.
“This company was brought into reality through one of our strongest recruiting tools, building relationships,” said Dennis Murphy, Winsupply area leader. “Tony's persistence is what kept the idea of this new Local Company moving forward.”
“I was immediately intrigued by the opportunities Winsupply held,” Otero said. “As my time grew in the industry, I began looking for opportunities to make a better life for myself and my family. Winsupply proved to be the perfect opportunity.”
Winsupply of Garden City officially opened its doors in September.
An official grand opening for Winsupply of Garden City is being planned for the near future. Otero says he plans to hire two additional team members this year.
Winsupply Local Companies are expected to achieve nearly $8.3 billion in annual sales for 2025.
