The Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) has announced a new AIA-approved webinar in their TAB Talk series to take place June 18, 2025. In “Building Decarbonization – Key Test & Balance Issues and Solutions for Occupancy, Wellness and Sustainability,” speakers Al LaPera and Robert Kolnes will explore the critical role of TAB in optimizing HVAC system performance in conjunction with commissioning to support energy efficiency, occupant wellness, and indoor environmental quality.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key test and balance challenges that impact building decarbonization, energy performance, and indoor air quality.
  • Understand the relationship between HVAC system calibration and occupant wellness in high-performance, low-carbon buildings.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and continuous commissioning practices that support long-term sustainability goals.
  • Apply TAB best practices to support LEED, WELL, and other certification frameworks while meeting decarbonization targets.
