The Commonwealth Group (TCG)— a buying group with verticals in plumbing, PVF, HVAC, waterworks and irrigation — held its 2022 Spring Conference, March 14-18, at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas. More than 800 registered attendees gathered for the four-day event focused on building and strengthening the partnerships and networking opportunities between its members and manufacturer/vendor partners.

The event was structured to allow for focus on each vertical within its membership. The first two days were focused on connecting members and suppliers/vendors in the HVAC and waterworks verticals; the last two days were focused on the plumbing conference sessions. The days and meeting rooms were packed, with 115 TCG member companies attending along with 133 vendor companies and 16 member service providers.

The spring conference provides opportunities for one-on-one meetings between channel partners. A total of 11,147 such discussions took place over the course of the four days.

With the ringing of the meeting bell, hundreds of attendees navigated their meetings with gusto — happy to be face to face again.

“It was great to be back together and attendance couldn’t have been better, with nearly 100 percent of our members and vendors participating,” notes TCG President Mike Lepley. “The room during the conference sessions was buzzing with excitement. You could tell everyone was glad to see their friends and associates for the first time in a long time. Business is strong and our independent members are in a very good position.“

Known for its fun and engaging conference events, the group held a Vendor and Member Service Provider Showcase cocktail reception, where 66 tabletop exhibitors, including 58 vendors and eight member service providers showcased products and services while enjoying libations and laughter.

The conference also featured an All-American Sports Lounge reception and dinner, where attendees sported their favorite team gear — and provided friendly rivalry.

Mark your calendar now for the group’s 2023 Spring Conference, to be held March 13-17 at the JW Marriott in San Antonio. For more information, visit www.thecommonwealthgroup.com.
