To simulate a real-life, interactive experience of the voluntary consensus standards process, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is pleased to announce that it will host a virtual workshop for new and emerging professionals on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. ET via Zoom.
"The Sky is the Limit" is a role-playing simulation that will give participants hands-on experience with the standards process. Participants will acquire a feeling for the stakes in standardization, gain insights into standards-related interests and strategies (their own, those of others, and the public), and experience the relevance of procedures in standards-setting. Arjan Widlak from United Knowledge in the Netherlands will facilitate.
Attendance is limited to new and emerging professionals who have been involved in standardization work for eight or fewer years. Because of the interactive nature of the event, only a small number of registrations will be accepted; attendees are asked to be mindful of the space limitation and only sign up if they are new to the standardization field.
Please note that all participants are required to arrive on time and stay for the full length of the simulation.
To sign up for this Zoom event, please contact Lisa Rajchel (lrajchel@ansi.org) no later than March 15, 2022.
