ANSI has announced the launch of the U.S. Standards Strategy 2025 — the nation’s blueprint for standards leadership as emerging technologies reshape global competition.

ANSI’s free weekly publication covers timely, accurate information about standards activities advanced by ANSI in the U.S. and internationally.

The modifications to the proposed Addendum c are solely based on comments received during the first public review draft on June 6, 2025.

The 45-day ANSI public review period started on Oct. 10 with a comment deadline of Nov. 24, 2025. 

This standard is proposed to be reaffirmed with no changes in accordance with ANSI’s 5-year essential requirements.

The 30-day ANSI public review period will run from July 25 through Aug. 24, 2025.

In collaboration with more than 30 committee and subcommittee members, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) has updated its C901 Standard for PE4710 high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pressure pipe for use in potable water, reclaimed water and wastewater service lines.  

The accreditation adds to SCB’s already comprehensive menu of certification services for organizations wishing to demonstrate their capabilities via systems certification.
