ANAHEIM, Calif. — Lynn A. McVay is the new Managing Partner of Mainline Sales. Mainline Sales is a Manufacturers’ Representative Agency serving the plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, industrial, irrigation and waterworks markets in California and Nevada. McVay joined the firm as an equity partner to implement a strategic growth plan that leverages the agency’s talent, systems and analytics.
McVay was previously president of Matco-Norca, a “virtual” manufacturer of valves, fittings and plumbing specialties. He has also held executive leadership positions at Watts Water Technologies, and Little Giant Pump Company. He had extensive experience with new product launches, the integration of acquisitions and developing sales teams. In his new role, McVay brings an intimate understanding of how to collaborate with leading specifiers, contractors, distributors and manufacturers.
McVay will work to strengthen the agency’s relationships with the entire value chain, while leading a rapid expansion of the agency’s sales, specification and support teams located in offices and warehouses in both Northern and Southern California.
“The addition of Lynn to our team accelerates the plan to transform Mainline from a respected firm in California to an industry leading agency in the Southwest Region of the U.S.,” said Jon Christy, founder of Mainline Sales. “Building on the firm foundation that we have with our existing manufacturers, Lynn will help us strengthen relationships and forge new partnerships to deliver superior results.”
“I’m thrilled to join a proven team that is ready to embrace new ways of thinking and behaving because many rep agencies have not changed their approach in decades,” McVay said. “Our fresh, yet disciplined, approach to this business will combine warm, personal relationships with smart analytics and purposeful decision making.”
McVay will relocate to work from Mainline Sales’ office in Anaheim, Calif.
