While it was a difficult decision, the PVF Roundtable has decided to cancel TroutBlast 2020, which was scheduled for Oct. 8 and 9. The organization truly cares about the wellbeing of its members and volunteers and made a responsible decision based on the current situation with COVID-19 and the stressful downturn of the PVF industry. The PVF Roundtable would like to thank all for their support during this challenging time for its organization and the community as a whole — and rest assured it plans to make up for this loss with an outstanding TroutBlast 2021. Those with questions about the cancelled event should contact Jamie Meade at jamiem@kiessolutions.com.
The following are ways to continue to support the PVF Roundtable:
1. Follow the PVF Roundtable on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. The organization posts daily updates of its members in the news, or any media including advertisements and interviews. Those who would like their company update shared should send a message or tag the PVF Roundtable with a hashtag (#pvfroundtable) to allow it to comment and share. Those sharing on Instagram should tag @pvfroundtable.
2. Take a virtual class with the PVF YPs Pros Know Series. Every month the PVF YPs will be hosting a virtual class to learn about pipe, valves, or fittings. Attendees can learn the latest technology and specs on some of the industry's most popular items such as valves, forgings, stainless pipe, large diameter carbon steel fittings, and more. Those interested should email pvfyps@gmail.com to be added to the contact list for these events. The PVF YPs can be followed on LinkedIn as well.
3. Donate if you can. Even though the PVF Roundtable won't be gathering in person, the show still goes on. The organization is committed to earning funds to provide scholarships to future graduates within the PVF industry. It is most important in a time like this to take care of employees. However, for those who do wish to donate to the PVF Roundtable's scholarship fund, the organization would be honored! More details are available at www.pvf.org.
