The International Code Council has announced the establishment of its Oceania regional office in Canberra, Australia, led by Neil Savery, managing director of ICC Oceania.

The new standard will focus on guidelines to keep public aquatic venues safe and healthy for all communities.

The latest edition of the standard includes guidance on residential and commercial systems that help to conserve a community’s water supply.

The organizations have announced that an advisory public review is open for a proposed joint greenhouse gas (GHG) evaluation standard.

This year's celebration will focus on how building safety is personal, local, and global.

The standard will be based on existing requirements for tiny houses used for permanent occupancy contained in the International Residential Code.

The code change development process was recently revised to improve the quality of code content by fostering a more in-depth vetting of code change proposals.

The Pro Codes Act would protect the copyright of codes and standards that governments seek to utilize for public benefit.

Ramiro Mata will lead Plumbing, Mechanical, and Fuel Gas standards development and Rick Bluntzer will support Government Relations in the adoption of codes and standards.  

The new Washington, D.C. office location aligns with the Code Council’s mission to support a more sustainable and resilient built environment and provide additional support for its members.
