Sessions offer insight into some of the HVACR industry's biggest opportunities, challenges, new products, technologies and applications.

The ASHRAE LowDown Showdown engages architects, engineers, designers and energy modelers by working on integrated teams in the creation of effective workflow and outstanding design in real-word building efficiency challenges. 

In all, four courses will be presented in Dublin; London; and Lisbon, Portugal.

The society has announced the recipients of 33 society scholarships, totaling $166,000.

In 2018, ASHRAE published a revised edition of Standard 188, which designers and building operators can use to help establish water management plans specific to the systems in particular buildings, campuses or health care facilities.

Main sections of the handbook cover comfort, industrial, energy-related and general applications, as well as building operations and management.

The plan describes the society's core values, mission and vision for future success, while also identifying areas where ASHRAE will direct its attention and resources over the next several years. 

Sustainable energy, building performance and refrigeration technologies were just some of the topics of great interest as HVACR professionals from around the world exchanged knowledge at this year's conference.

World Refrigeration Day was established in 2018 to serve as a means of raising awareness and understanding to the general public of the significant role that refrigeration and refrigerants play in modern life and society.
