William Summers, a longtime veteran of the HVAC industry, joins the company as regional sales manager covering the central territory of the United States.

The acquisition will support the continued growth of ABCO, providing opportunities to expand and grow its business.

AD’s two newly elected directors are Steve Drummond, president of Source Atlantic and Dr. Don McNeeley, chairman and CEO of Chicago Tube & Iron. Lenin Juarez, managing partner at Action Gypsum Supply LP, was reelected by the membership.

The program features a different tradesperson each month with the goal of putting the skilled trades in the spotlight by showcasing the stories of trade professionals.

The representation follows the acquisition of New York-based MCB Sales.

LaPorte started his career at Factory & Mill Supply in Garfield, and in 1965 he started his own company, Bergen Industrial Supply Company in Elmwood Park, which he owned and operated until 2013.

The scholarship was established by the LDC of the SWA in 2015 to honor Dottie Ramsey.

Each year, the foundation provides aid to aspiring technicians, helping to promote careers in the industry and fill good-paying jobs that cannot be outsourced.

Effective Jan. 1, 2021, PACE Supply reached an agreement with three companies: J.W. Wood; Northern Industrial Sales; and All Air Supply to purchase their organizations complete with four locations, including two plumbing showrooms.

The 16 online offerings, including eight new courses, run from January through June.
