It was the first time a Retool Your Future Scholarship winner had won the contest.

Since its inception, more than 2,500 students from over 300 trade schools have applied for the program with essays of up to 250 words describing how the HVAC/R industry will “retool their life.”

HLR technology cleans a building’s indoor air at a nanoscopic molecular level, enabling the building to use far less outside air ventilation while improving indoor air quality.  

Foundation awards scholarship totaling $65,000 to 39 students, including five military veteran program recipients, studying to become technicians in the HVACR and water heating industry.

The winner of the new award will be featured as the cover story in the April issue of The Wholesaler magazine.
