Blodgett Supply/Blodgett Distributors has entered into an agreement for the sale of the company to Hajoca Corporation of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. Blodgett expects to close this transaction on February 11, 2019.
Blodgett is a family-owned diversified wholesale distributor, tracing its roots back to 1848. Hajoca is the second-largest PHVAC wholesaler in North America and is also a family-owned company. Haioca has over 700 locations in the United States and Canada in operation since 1858.
Blodgett will continue to operate as Blodgett Supply, with its same commitment to customer service and distribution of the finest products in its various business segments. At the same time, Blodgett will be able to leverage the advantages of being part of a larger company, with advanced technology, training and development and access to additional product lines and services.
This is an exciting change for the Blodgett family and its customers and business partners. Hajoca has built its reputation on the same principles Blodgett has, including a goal of being the best same-day supplier. Blodgett will continue its efforts to be the vendor of choice, but now with additional capabilities. The Blodgett leadership remains intact, with President Jim Howard remaining responsible for daily operations. Chairman and CEO Samuel E. Levin, on the other hand, will move into full retirement.
"Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your past business, and the business and personal relationships we’ve had over these past many years," said Levin in a letter to customers, vendors and business partners.
