ACCA Hires Alyx Simon as Government Relations Rep

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America has announced it has hired Alyx Simon as a new government relations representative.

“Alyx is no stranger to the halls of Congress and federal agencies, and I am glad that she has joined the team at ACCA,” said Barton James, interim president and CEO/ “Alyx will be a strong advocate for ACCA members and the HVACR industry,”.

Simon comes to ACCA most recently from Ducks Unlimited’s government relations office. Prior to DU, she served on the team for Natural Resources Results, a D.C. based lobbying and government affairs consulting firm specializing in budget and appropriations, renewable and clean energy, natural resource conservation and sustainable community development. Simon also served as a grant writer for Rivers of Recovery, a nonprofit specializing in combat veteran rehabilitation.

“I am excited for the opportunity to join the ACCA team and represent our members on Capitol Hill,” Simon said. “It is clear from ACCA’s legislative and regulatory victories in the 115th Congress that when our members’ voices are heard they have a lasting impact on their bottom lines and our industry. I look forward to helping our members transform more of their legislative and regulatory priorities into accomplishments in 116th Congress.”

Simon can be reached via e-mail at Alyx.Simon@acca.org or by phone at 703-824-8863.
