Mitsubishi Electric Trane Now in Operation

The Ingersoll-Rand and Mitsubishi Electric U.S. joint venture to market, sell and distribute ductless and VRF air conditioning systems is now up and running.

Keijiro Hora has been named CEO and D. Andrew Kelso has been named chief financial officer. Hora has been with Mitsubishi Electric since 1981, most recently as president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Electric US, a role that he will continue to hold. Kelso has been with Ingersoll Rand since 1995, most recently as the finance leader for the company’s Industrial Products businesses.

The joint venture establishes Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC as a leading provider of ductless and VRF systems in the United States and select countries in Latin America. The new joint venture will include marketing, sales and distribution of ductless and VRF heating and air conditioning systems through Ingersoll Rand’s Trane and American Standard commercial and residential channels, and existing Mitsubishi Electric distributors and representatives in the United States and select countries in Latin America.
