VMA Announces First Valve Industry Knowledge Forum

February 22, 2018
VMA-Announces-First-Valve-Industry-Knowledge-Forum

The Valve Manufacturers Association of America (VMA) will be holding its inaugural Valve Industry Knowledge Forum this spring.

The Valve Industry Knowledge Forum will be held at The DeSoto Hotel in Savannah, Georgia, April 11-13, 2018, and is the first event of its kind. It combines three prior conferences into one, with three distinct educational tracks: Technical, Manufacturing and Human Resources. The event includes an educational conference, exhibits, networking events, and optional tours of Mitsubishi Power Systems’ Savannah Machinery Works and Gulfstream Aerospace Headquarters.

The technical program, “Advancing Valve Integrity through Technology,” is an exchange of knowledge intended for experienced technical and engineering personnel. “Combating Complacency in Manufacturing: Safety, Customer Focus, and Technology,” is a manufacturing-focused program for production and assembly leaders. The human resources program, “From Hello to Goodbye: Improving the Employee Experience,” delves into the many challenges faced by HR leaders in the valve industry. Attendees can customize their experience and choose to attend sessions across all three programs.

This joint event provides dialogue across disciplines in the valve industry, as well as industries that use valves and related products. It is open to members and non-members of VMA. Attendees will receive 12 Professional Development Hours for attending the event.
