DistributionNOW, has announced the acquisition of Dayton, Ohio-based Updike Supply Company, a provider of MRO products and inventory management services.

"The combination of these two respected companies will further strengthen DistributionNOW's core offerings of technical applications support and inventory management solutions to the manufacturing segment," the company said in a press release announcing the acquisition.

DistributionNow says Updike will operate in the Machine Tools Supply and Manufacturing Services group, which was established after DNOW’s acquisition of Machine Tools Supply in last January.
