Sheboyganpress.com reports that if Kohler union membership doesn’t agree on a new contractor by the end of the week, they’ll go on strike.
The current contract with the union expires Saturday at midnight. A meeting is scheduled Sunday with union membership to vote on whatever contract is on the table by the end of the week.
Because 99 percent of union membership voted at the end of October to ratify a strike should negotiations fail, a rejection of that contract could lead to the first strike of Kohler employees since 1983.
