The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials has released the 2015 edition of the South Dakota Plumbing Code. The book can be purchased and shipped via the IAPMO web store.
The plumbing code is comprised of the 2015 edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code with the South Dakota amendments. This marks the fifth edition of the SDPC developed alongside the UPC under the American National Standards Institute consensus process. Contributions to the content of this code were made by every segment of the built industry, including such diverse interests as consumers, enforcing authorities, installers/maintainers, labor, manufacturers, research/standards/testing laboratories, special experts, and users.
The SDPC is designed to provide consumers with safer and more sanitary plumbing systems while, at the same time, allowing latitude for innovation and new technologies. Key changes to the 2015 SDPC include:
