The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating is pleased to announce that Robert Waters has joined the Institute as technical consultant for Codes & Standards.
Waters will assume an advisory role for staff and our members to better serve core competencies/constituencies and the industry in general. This includes coordinating with the association’s technical operation as well as educational programs.
"Members through our recent Long Range Planning process told us that we needed to hire a technical consultant to ensure that CIPH’s interests are at the fore front of codes, and regulatory issues,” said Ralph Suppa, CIPH president and general manager. “Robert brings us the necessary skills to represent CIPH with key government departments as we deal with uniformity for water and energy efficiency reports.”

Waters comes to CIPH with more than 30 years of experience in the hot water heating industry and has worked with gas, oil and biomass boiler systems, solar thermal water heating systems, radiant floor heating systems, hydronic system controls, and residential and commercial hydronic system design. He has served as a member of the Canadian Hydronics Council Education Committee and previously served on the board of the Canadian Solar Industry Association.
