W.E. Monks merges with Tec

May 11, 2016

Tec Inc. Engineering & Design and W.E. Monks & Co. Engineers announced May 9 that Monks will merge with and become part of Tec.

Tec and Monks both offer similar MEP engineering services to clients in similar vertical markets, including health care and higher education. By leveraging these commonalities, this strategic merger will expand the depth and breadth of the firm's capabilities to better support the long-term growth and success of clients in Ohio and beyond.

With the merger, Tec's Columbus, Ohio, office will have 10 engineers providing a full range of engineering services to clients throughout Central Ohio. Monks will house Tec's Columbus office.

The merger brings the total number of engineers and design professionals at Tec to 27.

Russ Edwards, president of W.E. Monks, will continue as principal with Tec and become the managing principal of Tec's Columbus office.

Monks will operate as Monks Engineers, LLC, a subsidiary of Tec, until the transition is complete and all operations and professionals have been integrated into Tec Inc. Engineering & Design.

Together, the firms will operate as Tec Inc. Engineering & Design with 36 employees and a combined 87-year track record of proven experience.
