ISH China & CIHE – China International Trade Fair for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Sanitation, Home Comfort & Urban Renewal Equipment and Technology will take place May 12-14 2027 at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) in Beijing. The upcoming edition will cover five core sectors: “Heating solutions,” “Energy solutions,” “Water solutions,” “Comfort solutions,” and “Installation and intelligence,” featuring advanced technologies and products relevant to the changing needs of the HVAC and home comfort industries.

Under China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026 – 2030), the nation’s carbon-peak goals remain a central policy priority. Government policy continues to encourage greener development in the industrial and building sectors, including cleaner heating and cooling, optimised heat supply-and-demand matching, and the wider adoption of clean energy technologies such as heat pumps. Likewise, efforts are underway to develop zero-carbon industrial parks, with plans to build around 100 national-level parks and 500 zero-carbon factories over the next five years.[1] These developments will serve as a key driver of industry upgrades and transformation, further accelerating the large-scale adoption of complementary technologies such as heat pumps, waste heat recovery, and smart heating systems.

Within the plan, urban renewal is another important priority within the plan, with guidelines encouraging the development of “quality homes” alongside the widespread refurbishment and modernisation of existing housing.[2] The framework also calls for the reinforcement of urban infrastructure, the replacement of ageing heating networks, and a systematic transition towards metered heating. Throughout this period, around 115,000 older residential compounds are set to be renovated, alongside the construction or upgrading of roughly 120,000 km of district heating networks, with total investment in urban renewal projected to exceed RMB 15 trillion (approximately USD 2.1 trillion).[3] To jumpstart these efforts, the government allocated RMB 97 billion (USD 14.4 billion) from the 2026 central budget to support the renovation of dilapidated housing and ageing urban communities, benefiting roughly 8 million households.[4]

Together, these twin pillars create sustained momentum for the HVAC, district heating, and energy-efficiency sectors, positioning clean-tech providers for substantial long-term market growth.

Building on 30 years of success

For over three decades, ISH China & CIHE has remained a leading annual exhibition for the global HVAC and home comfort supply chain, adapting to policy developments and changing market demands throughout the sector. As the 15th Five-Year Plan creates new opportunities in green development and urban renewal, the 2027 edition will continue to support companies in adopting emerging technologies and progressing towards their long-term sustainability objectives.

Most recently, the 2026 edition hosted 1,003 international brands and welcomed 76,573 visitors from across 81 countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, Mongolia, Pakistan, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Türkiye and Uzbekistan.

Drawing on the global resources of the ISH brand and Messe Frankfurt’s digital services, the fair supported further exchange between domestic and overseas markets through around 500 face-to-face business-matching sessions between exhibitors and international buyers. More than 100 professional buyer delegations also attended, drawn from key government bodies and organisations involved in municipal construction, luxury residential design, healthcare logistics and urban regeneration.

Exhibitors generally praised their results at ISH China & CIHE. Among them, Mr Zhang Liangliang, General Manager of Commercial Integrated Energy Technology Company, Micoe, commented: “Today, ISH China & CIHE has become the preferred platform for global businesses seeking insights into the latest industry developments and high-quality solutions, bringing together world-leading technology and China’s comprehensive industrial chain. Mr Zhao Hengyi, Vice Chief Supervisor of China Energy Conservation Association and Secretary General of China Heat Pump Alliance, commended the show for fostering the exchange and dissemination of advanced technologies, adding: “In close collaboration with the fair organisers, we hosted forums on the latest heat pump technologies and trends. The event created a lively atmosphere for industry exchange, generated business leads and technical discussions, and gave strong momentum to the heat pump sector.”
