This revolutionary international competition is organized in official association with the International Institute of Welding (IIW).

Following the success of the Urban Steel Rockstars formats, MingleMakers UG is introducing a high-energy event designed to capture the modern zeitgeist of the welding industry. By moving past traditional industrial constraints, the WAWC celebrates both the technical mastery and the artistic identity of welding, making the craft cool, approachable, and highly visible to a new generation of creators.

The top-tier competitors will advance to compete live at major international trade fairs:

  • The Round of 16: October 2026 at FABTECH in Las Vegas, United States. 
  • The Grand Finals: April 2027 at the Urban Steel Expo in Düsseldorf, Germany.
