The WiMI Conference heads to San Diego with the theme Compass, focused on leadership, growth, connection, and navigating what’s ahead. Designed to support women in the mechanical industry, the conference will help attendees strengthen leadership skills, explore new opportunities, and advance their careers.
With fewer than three weeks until the conference begins on June 8, now is the time to secure your spot in San Diego.
Over three days, attendees will hear from keynote speakers including technology futurist Crystal Washington, leadership strategist Erin Stafford, and workforce development expert Stephane McShane. General Sessions are supported by industry sponsors, including Sloan, sponsor of Crystal Washington’s keynote on preparing for change and innovation.
The agenda includes workshops and roundtables covering career development, communication, leadership, project management, mental health awareness, and operations. Educational sessions such as VitalCog Parts 1 & 2, sponsored by Southland Industries, will focus on mental health and suicide prevention in construction. Ferguson supports project management sessions on planning and financial performance. Sessions from Steve Thomas, sponsored by Watts, address overcoming challenges and building psychologically safe workplaces.
Networking opportunities are integrated throughout the conference, providing time for attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships. The conference opens with the Welcome Reception, sponsored by DEWALT, where attendees can reconnect with colleagues and meet new participants.
On Tuesday evening, attendees will gather for “Chart Your Course: The Compass Reception,” sponsored by CPMCA/SoCal Pipe Trades. Held at the Marina Terrace, the event offers additional time for conversation and networking.
The conference also includes the WiMI Give Back Charitable Activity, sponsored by MILWAUKEE TOOL, supporting the San Diego Rescue Mission and reflecting WiMI’s commitment to service and industry impact.
Additional sponsors support the attendee experience throughout the event. Registration badging and lanyards are sponsored by Morris Group International. Opening refreshments are provided by Viega, while beverage and snack breaks on Tuesday and Wednesday are sponsored by McWane Group.
Whether you are an emerging professional, experienced leader, or industry advocate, the WiMI Conference offers opportunities to connect with peers, gain insight, and return with practical takeaways. Join us in San Diego for the 2026 WiMI Conference.
